starting business Foundation Service

Course contents, research results, visions and everyday problems may form the cornerstone for a successful start-up. The "starting business" foundation service offered at Leibniz Universität Hannover supports and accompanies the implementation of turning innovative ideas into workable business concepts.

starting business is the central contact point for students and research staff of Leibniz Universität Hannover interested in start-ups. Whoever would like to start a business, develop own ideas, or who plans to join an existing founding team, is provided free professional assistance.

We are pleased to give interdisciplinary support to

  • Students
  • Employees
  • Scientists
  • Alumni

The foundation service is there to accompany the implementation of business ideas along the entire founding process - from concept development to market entry, thereby ensuring, besides sound advice, the embedding of the projects into the regional start-up ecosystem.

Our goal is to sensitise members of Leibniz Universität Hannover for the chance of self-employment instead of dependent employment, to mobilise founding ideas, to conduct qualification measures, and to offer advice and support to company founders for their projects.

During their career at Leibniz Universität Hannover, students and research staff members at least once face the question if self-employment may be an alternative career path for them. Given a lively start-up climate within Leibniz Universität Hannover, they are encouraged to set up enterprises, thereby allowing for the transfer of innovations from the university to the region.

As a central contact point, we provide support to students, research staff, and alumni in all questions around business start-up.

We mobilise ideas within Leibniz Universität Hannover and help members realise their entrepreneurial visions.

We see ourselves as partners of persons interested in start-ups. By means of a broad range of advice and support which we offer along the entire founding process, we prepare founders for successful market entry.

We use our central role in the start-up ecosystem of the Region of Hannover to systematically network prospective founders, beyond the university boarders, with service providers, strategic partners, and investors.
